The new Consett Papa John’s has opened, creating 15 new jobs in the Country Durham town.  Led by multi-unit franchisee Nazim Vadiwala, the locally recruited team will serve up and deliver Papa John’s fresh pizza known for its: BETTER INGREDIENTS.  BETTER PIZZA.” concept, for all of the Consett community to enjoy.

Nazim Vadiwala joined Papa John’s as a franchisee in 2018 and now also runs stores in Leithwalk in Edinburgh, Perth, Clydebank, Greenock and Whitley Bay.  He confirms:  “The great thing about pizza is there is something for everyone!   It’s fun to share with friends on any occasion or simply a great meal at home with the family.  All our ingredients are fresh, and our dough is never frozen which creates a better flavour to really treat those taste buds!”

The Consett opening is one of three new Papa John’s Nazim will deliver over the next few months.  He continues:  “I talked to Papa John’s about expansion, and we put a deal on the table to open in Greenock and Consett was a great choice.  Our operations director Syed Salman along with Mark Morrison and Younus Mohamed have all work closely to open the two stores.  We will also add a further new store to open in the Northeast early next year.

“I previously worked for a rival pizza firm for a decade before becoming a franchisee but there were no opportunities like there are with Papa John’s.  Now running my own stores and being able to grow and offer more jobs to the communities we work in has been a dream come true.  However, I couldn’t have achieved this success without the backing of my extended team.  It’s like one big Papa John’s family.”
